Staff from Northampton International Academy have been taking part in training ahead of their new Combined Cadet Force Navy Cadet programme starting at the school. They have been training alongside the Royal Navy on both land and water at Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth as part of their Officers Initial Course.
Today they had their passing out parade in front of the Captain of the college and become officers: Sub Lieutenant Jelbert, Sub Lieutenant Broughton, and Contingent Commander Lieutenant Auger. Congratulations to the new officers!
The new CCF Navy Cadet programme will be a fantastic addition to Northampton International Academy. CCF programmes have been shown to make a real difference to young people, helping them to develop the life skills and self-confidence they need to take charge of their lives so that they can reach their full potential at school, in employment and beyond. We're looking forward to it starting in September, find out more
