Parent/Carer info session: Talking to my child about mental health

At NIA we understand the importance of supporting our learners' mental health and supporting parents with this often difficult subject.

As parents it is often difficult to know how we can best support our children's mental health, especially through the challenging teenage years and in the world of social media.

Therefore we would like to invite you to a workshop/ information session:

TALKING TO MY CHILD ABOUT MENTAL HEALTH.

The session will address the importance of talking to young people about mental health in a healthy and positive way and share strategies to support this. This workshop is suitable for parents/carers with children without any mental health concerns or parent of children with mild to moderate needs.

It will be run by the NHS Mental Health Support Team, and will be held in school on Wednesday 17th January 2024 3.30 to 4.30 in the Mental Health Hub. Tea and Coffee will be available.

Please remember that we are here to help and if you have any concerns about your child's mental health then please contact your GP and/ or ask to speak to the Mental Health team at school.
