Northampton International Academy are looking to appoint a Maths Programme Leader on a permanent contract from September 2020
This is an exciting opportunity to lead the maths department in our growing, diverse school. The school was awarded good in the most recent Ofsted inspection and has continued to grow its range of provision with improvement ever since.
Northampton International Academy is part of the East Midlands Academy Trust, it is an all through school, 4–19, and opened in September 2016. In July 2019, the academy achieved an Ofsted rating of Good.
It is a fantastic time to join NIA as it has its first Year 12 intake, as well as further groups in the primary phase and by 2021 the school will have over 2000 pupils. This will make NIA one of the largest free schools in the country.
As a Programme Leader, you will work with the support of the team to carry out teaching and tutorial duties and will have the opportunity to take on responsibility for an aspect of Maths delivery. As a Programme Leader, you must be extremely motivated, have high professional standards and a proven track record of success at GCSE and ‘A’ Level. You will be responsible for ensuring consistently outstanding practice and taking a leading role in developing and enhancing teaching and learning across the department. As a Core PL, you will also join our Extended Leadership Group, which is key to drive standards at whole school level and triangulate best practices and standards across all curriculum areas.

QTS and eligibility to work in UK
Evidence of continuing professional development

Understanding and clear vision of the importance of Maths
A consistently good or outstanding practitioner capable of generating high student outcomes
Ability to teach Maths to KS3, KS4 and KS5
Self-motivated and self-reflective
Good teamwork skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good organisational skills
